Bra sizing question or is this normal?

I've been to bravissimo in the past, and did the boob or bust thing online. Came out that I was a 34G/GG. The latter put me in an H cup, which I tried and the cup was far too big

I resorted to bralette type things, which I'm aware doesn't give much support, but are so much more comfortable

I've now tried to revert to a "proper" bra and bought a 34G. It was comfortable at first (the cup fits perfectly) but after about 8+ hours of wearing it, I'm starting to feel the burning dig in's. It's mainly on the sides where the wires are. Looked in the bathroom mirror and lifted my bra up and there it is, the red angry digging marks I've had with all bras

My question is, is this normal? I've tried so many bras in the past and even when the measurements have been right, I still get them. I just don't know where I'm going wrong

Yes and no! Sock marks (pink/red) are normal, pain or actually cutting in isn't
It might be the style rather than size. I used to wear panache a lot and then it felt like the middle gore was stabbing me. Swapped for Elomi which are the most comfy bras I've worn
So curvy Kate are differently cut to Freya to panache etc etc
Now I know Elomi plunge bras (like the Matilda) fit me so well, I just buy every style plunge bra from them

It’s normal with a poor fit/style.

Ah ok thanks both! I think it's probably the style. I don't seem to get on with wires either it seems
