Summer footwear for my poor sore feet!

I have sore feet; bunions and what the podiatrist called "city break foot". The bunions don't hurt nearly as much as they used to but oh my god the pain from the other thing...

So I wondered if anyone has experience of this and could recommend something light for summer?

The podiatrist recommended doc martens, or asics/hoka/brooks trainers. But that was in March and I didn't think to ask about something for the summer.

Can anyone help please?

Birkenstocks are great for my feet (neuroma and plantar fasciitis) and I live in them over summer!

I'm under a podiatrist at the mo.

He recommended Joya, Vionic and Strive. I have to say that the Joya are the most comfy trainers ever.

I have perennially painful feet and bunions too. I've always stuck to merrell walking sandals (the type that are always called fugly on here!) but recently have found I get on quite well with either canvas shoes (like toms) or espadrille-types. Biggest tip is to get soft gel insoles for whatever you wear! I have pain in the balls of my feet and these help so so much

Heavenly Feet, Cushionwalk or Hotter.

Thanks for the suggestions, off to google them all now.

I wear trainers all summer. Them becoming mainstream with summer dresses has literally changed my life.

I’ve specifically asked for crocs for my 26th birthday present from DP 😂 so comfy and practical!

Dr Martens also do sandals. They’re pretty chunky but look fab with dresses.

AllBirds all the way. I love them so much I have three colours and I've bought them for my mum and daughter. They love them as much as I do.

Josef Seibel Tonga 25 sandals bargain if you like silver

All the straps are Velcro adjustable, great for less than perfect feet, and can be loosened if they swell during the day.

Someone recommended them on here a while back and I've got a few pairs now which see me through the summer.

Fitflops or Vionics. Can't recommend them highly enough.
