Please help me find a day to night dress

Hi all. I am looking for a dress to take me from day time client meeting to an evening do. I will have no time to change between bar adding some dangly earrings and reapply mascara and add some bright lip colour. Possibly slipping on some other shoes if I can fit into bag. I am late 40's, heavy pearshaped 10/12 of 'Nordic colouring'. The stuff in my wardrobe from pre pandemic does not fit well anymore, too much pandemic and all that.

I do have a slim waist but am heavy in the bottom

Everything that I have tried on so far (ordered from Asos) looks either ridiculously too young or too frumpy.

I would like to avoid black (but am not totally opposed to it) and anything too business looking as I am definitely not a suit type person and work with young folk in a creative world. Would love something funky but also not mutton dressed as lamb Help pretty please is there such a dress out there? Could spend up to £150 if it is something I can get a lot of wear out of

I can't open the previous link but I would go for something midi length and relatively plain as they're really easy to dress up with accessories

@iknowthismuchis the dress that @waltzingparrot shared is navy and chic and simple. So exactly what you say. I can picture that with added accessories looking really fabulous. I ordered the dress now let’s just hope it works for my shape.
