Any hairdresser that can offer advice?

I have had a dark cool brown put on my hair in October last year and it has obviously faded since then to a light mousse kind of brown. I have an appointment at the hairdressers this week and wanted to change it up a little and go for something like this picture. However, if my hair would have to be bleached and left for a couple of days before being dyed to get this look I would need to go with my normal brown until a later date due to work. Does anyone have any idea what the process for this would be?

You'd have to have your hair bleached to a level 9/10 palest yellow to achieve a bright purple. It can easily be done in one appt. though.

Does your hairdresser know that's what you're after? You need to find a hairdresser who understands about direct dye colours. Ideally, you'd need a strand test for bleach and a skin test about 48hrs. before your appt. and to book a long enough appt. time.

They know I want my hair coloured but didn’t ask specifically what I wanted
