At 42, are they a no? I don't know why I'm drawn to them. My inner 80's / 90's self wants to wear them again I suspect. But not sure how I'd pull them off without looking like either too old, or alternative. I've got quite a classic girly style.

My feet are sweating just looking at those.

😂 Not going to lie. That thought is in the back of my mind as well. I'm having doubts about them which probably tells me they're a no.

According to my kids they rub like mad.

I'd like some and I have seen some people wearing them well in summer but im not sure like you.

Sickoffamilydrama · 18/04/2022 22:48

I seem to remember they rubbed me as a child which makes sense with slightly sweaty rubber Easter Wink

I loved my jelly shoes in the 80s. Grin

Are they back in fashion? Really?

Of all the things to come back, jelly shoes was the last thing I thought I'd see a comeback.

Last time I wore those I was at the school infants disco. Brings back memories of the Saturday Night By Wigfield and the Macarena.

They've been popular with children for a few years, but now asos and other shoe stores are filled with them. Also platform versions Grin

Platform versions? Now you're taking the pee pee Grin

I can understand the appeal for children, but are they selling them for adults aswell?

PollyPutTheKettleOnKettleOn · 18/04/2022 23:53

If you will, I will. I've been seriously tempted top Grin

LemonMuffins · 18/04/2022 23:59

I had blue glittery platform ones Grin

I got a flat pair in a different style a couple of years back and the sweat foot was truly horrendous.

ProudThrilledHappy · 19/04/2022 00:02

Aaaah blister central!!

EachandEveryone · 26/04/2022 20:04

How funny I should see this. I bought a pair for my niece today for her birthday from Shuh. Shes just turning twenty apparently they are a thing now with the students.

Notarealmum · 27/04/2022 08:31

im quite pleased to know this because I’ve still got an orange/gold pair from last time. They were comfortable too!

feelinglowandblue · 27/04/2022 08:36

Omg I want some too! But yes the rubbing, the heat, the sweat….totally worth it! I used to like the ones with open toes too and no straps, a bit like old fashioned old lady shoes lol
