Has anyone bought from Vestiaire ?
If so, your thoughts please.
I have my eye on something but am a bit wary as I know nobody in my life who has used it.
Thank you in advance.

I've bought once and sold 6 things, no issues either way. This was more than a year ago though.

Yep, bought and sold, no problems. It's worth paying for the validation service if you're buying something expensive or that could be fake.

featheryfancy · 18/04/2022 20:43

I've bought 4 bags, no problems any time. Always found the descriptions really accurate and the shipping timescales right

Mercurial123 · 18/04/2022 20:46

I've used it three times. First time my order arrived with no issues. Second time the seller was on holiday but eventually got in contact to say she would ship. She then disappeared and I got refunded. Finally, my item was lost in the post. With the customs and duties added it's not worth buying from unless the seller is in the UK or the buyer is in the EU.

GivenchyDahhling · 18/04/2022 20:49

They’re ok, can be slow due to the processes requiring seller to ship to them and then for it to go onto you - depends where the item is coming from. Also I find their prices quite high, and I think this is down to their fees for sellers being really high - you’d get more of a “bargain” on eg eBay but without the peace of mind and verification.

For very high ticket items I would probably steer clear. Known to be a place where fakes r sold.

Doodar · 18/04/2022 21:32

stopped buying from them. Paid for the authentication service and the boots I bought had 2 very obvious areas of damage. The seller did refund me some money but they put a time limit for me to spend it, didn't find this out until I tried to use it.

Doodar · 18/04/2022 21:33

Theres custom tax to pay too if outside the UK.

I bought a VW coat and everything went smoothly. I then ordered a cap for my Ds and an empty bag arrived. £100, so not nothing. The online chat facility was useless and I was actually hung up on multiple times; it took a threat of legal action before the fuckers refunded me- not sure I'd risk them again!

IEatChocolateForBreakfast · 18/04/2022 21:47

I've sold things and bought an item. No problems, but the shipping is slow and I do agree that some prices can be high. Although the item I purchased was a £650 dress I'd had my eye on for 3 years and finally managed to bag it on Vestiaire for £50 👍🏻

I bought some Valentino shoes which I am very pleased with
Tried to buy a handbag but seller refunded me as they didn’t want to ship to UK
Currently looking for sandals

i bought many items among which got 2 fake items (Valentino Rockstud Pumps and D&G Sneakers) and they assured to me that don't necessarily need to have the serial number (which i snot true and which was missing on th eitems i bought), so when i sold the same Valentino on their website, they refused my sale saying that it's fake, my worst experience ever.
i have been using ebay and therealreal website for years and they are excellent
