Looking for smart casual for over 40s

I hate the current style: smock dresses & shapeless garments. I'm 48 years, 5ft 2 and size 14 and it all makes me look like a weeble! Can anyone recommend smart casual, classy but feminine/elegant clothing/websites at sensible prices please? I like tailored clothing or dark smart jeans with crisp shirts or tailored tops. Thanks

I love M&S tailored trousers. Arket and Cos have some lovely, more structured styles. &OtherStories and Boden do great, classic silk shirts. H&M and Warehouse also do nice, stylish tailoring, at more affordable prices. The quality is good, in my experience - better than you’d imagine.

I am a little taller and wear a 12 - 14, I really like Danish brands, such as Part Two or Second Female. I purchase from Zalando or Boozt and once you sign up they do regular discount codes.
Also have bought a few tops from
Suncoo in the last few weeks and love them!
