It is unusual to never wear shorts.. I hate my legs.. and people alway comment on how skinny they are..they are so thin from my knees down.. I wish i didn't care but I just can't bring myself to wear them.. even my kids think it's strange.. I don't ever wear dresses over my knees either.. does anyone else feel this and what do you wear instead during hot we weather other than maxi dresses

I actually have re-embraced my love of shorts and wear them for running most of the year now.
Until now though I've been a fan of the Next knee length linen dresses with pockets. Easily dressed up or down. I also am partial to a 7/8 length legging or capri.

Yes to cotton capri type trousers. What about a skirt (of a length you feel comfortable in)and top ?

I agree. I cannot stand shorts. It's been at least 25 years since I've worn them. I'm an hour glass shape and find them very difficult to pull off for me because my legs and thighs have always been my downfall. Even at an 8/10 I will not wear them because when I sit down my thighs just spread out like jelly taking up any empty room in the short and making my thighs look 2-3x as wide as they are when I'm standing. I love them on other people though and think the right pair can look so stylish.
