What shoes would you wear with this dress?

I have been invited to an evening do for a very small wedding. Its just immediate family during the day with close friends invited for informal drinks and a buffet in the evening. The venue is a small country house hotel.

I've bought this dress in the sale from Hush and I love it, but I'm struggling with shoes. I'm a bit rubbish with heels, but can just about cope with block heels or wedges. Would flat shoes look ridiculous? I dress fairly casually most of the tune and so would normally be in trainers or (in the summer) birkenstocks.

Ideas gratefully received!

Absolutely! I've got a set of 3 gold bangles from Oliver Bonas as a gift last year. And I bought a simple gold necklace with a hammered disc pendant when I ordered the dress today.

The dress and the necklace have cost me the princely sum of £1, thanks to a John Lewis voucher for a £100 that's been languishing in a drawer since Christmas!

That sounds nice! I have some brown suede wedges somewhere, but my foot always seems to slip down in them. Very uncomfortable.
