I’ll be carrying a baby + wrangling a toddler so it’s important my shoes are comfortable, but I 100% need a heel with this. Maybe wedges? I have slightly wide feet which doesn’t help matters.

I’m still breastfeeding so have got fairly big boobs right now, tops without stretch that just hang down might look weird, or need to be in a really large size to fit, but maybe will be ok tucked into the trousers? Scoop or v neck essential, nothing high necked. In my head a silky off white spaghetti strap v neck camisole would look great, but I reckon with my body.

I’m 5’7 and have got the jacket in a Zara medium and trousers in a small.

Also need to figure out bag, how to wear my hair and makeup jewellery etc etc. With shoes and bags, what do you reckon? Nude? A contrasting bright colour? Black feels wrong to me.

I’ve never been great at dressing smart and didn’t often have occasion to dress up even pre-kids, but since I’ve become a SAHM I feel like I’ve really lost my confidence with this stuff. My budget is in line with what you’d expect based on the price of the suit.

Thank you in advance!

I should also say that the yellow is ever so slightly more muted in real life, still fairly bright though.

Oh also, the bag probably needs to be big enough to hold nappies, wipes, snacks etc unfortunately. So no tiny clutches.

Black bag and wedges to make you.comfortable would be lovely with this outfit and stand out. Nude would be to light and not be noticed I would even dress it with a nice black choker, bracelet and watch 😍 hope you have a great day

clpsmum · 16/04/2022 11:12

I would go for bright blue or bright pink tbh I love a bright colour explosion!

Look like Emily Ratajkowski got married in a very similar suit from Zara! She styled with black so I would follow suit....

Love it!

Not black, unless you want to look a bit bumble bee-ish.

Silky off-white cami sounds great.

Where do you usually like to get shoes from?

This bag is cute, but very small. Could you just have a separate bag for baby crap and shove it under the buggy?

rosiebl · 16/04/2022 11:23

How about white cami and black shoes and bag?

Like these shoes. www.next.co.uk/style/ls261811/P78626#P78626

With this bag?

Black would be a shame.

Blue (cobalt) or teal, or a lilac purple would be an amazing combo with that colour (it looks almost mustard) But ivory/white also fine. An ivory/white-backed floral would also work.

Accessories-wise you could use a big raffia straw bag and metallic or snakeskin shoes.

DaffodilsandCoffee · 16/04/2022 12:53

What do you think of this bag, some coral or teal block heel sandals and then a cream coloured top of some sort? (I'd just shove the baby stuff in another bag under the pram, as suggested.

What would you do for jewellery? Some big statement earrings or a necklace in coordinating colours, or some delicate gold things given I've got a lot going on already? How about makeup? Would coral lipstick be too matchy matchy?

I might go deep purple if you want to avoid black.

I worry with a bright blue that people might think you are making a political stance, to show support for Ukraine Grin

whenwilliwillibefamous · 16/04/2022 13:07

Not if it's a mustard!
How about charcoal or dark grey for bag/shoes?

Snog · 16/04/2022 16:40

Colour wise pink or a pink based red could be lovely

Personally, I'm not really a fan of the idea of putting another bright colour with it. I think let the suit itself do the talking, and keep the other things muted.

Greyhare · 16/04/2022 19:41

I would go for a cream cami and then bright orange or pink shoes and then the same but the other colour for the bag, so pink shoes/orange bag or orange shoes/pink bag but not wishy washy orange or pink proper zesty punchy colours.

ClaireAJ22 · 19/04/2022 14:01

Definitely style with Gold hoops too - think that would look absolutely fab. I just bought some great quality ones from Auree Jewellery: www.aureejewellery.com/collections/hoop-earrings

BobblyBlueJumper · 19/04/2022 14:04

I have no suggestions but I wanted to say that I love that suit! You'll look great, it's such a bold summer colour.
