Blundstone boots - sizing help!

spencerspencer · 15/04/2022 16:24

Sorry if this has been done to death but before I order blind off the internet, can anyone tell me whether Blundstone boots come up small/big/true to size?

I'm a typical UK size 5 (perhaps a 4.5 in some brands) and not sure what to get....

I am a typical size 5 and I got a size 5, they are great. They come with some extra insoles which you can put in if they are slightly big.

They are wide, and generous. I am a wide size 5 and a half, I have the 5 and they are roomy enough for chunky socks. If your feet are narrow I would go down to the 4 as a starting point.

Really wide! I think the half sizes are wider rather than longer so beware of that.

I'm an annoying sort of 7.75 and a bit narrow (especially narrow heels) so often an 8 is too big and a 7 or even 7.5 is too small. My Blundstone's are 7s and I put arch supports and sheepskin insoles in. They seem very roomy to me but again my feet are narrow and I have pretty low arches so take that into consideration too.

I am a UK 3 and bought the correct size.
I love mine.
They are comfy and just loose enough !

I go down a size in length.
In Blundstone sizing the “half” means “wide”.
So, I’m normally an 8/9 wide.
I wear a 7.5 in Blundstones, have done for 30 years!

However, a lot of resellers don’t understand the sizing system and think that eg; 7.5 is longer than 7. It isn’t, it’s just wider.

They work very well for my wide, high instepped feet. Might not be such a good boot for the narrow or shallow foot though.

For me they are true to size for the length of my foot, but they are wide boots and have no arch support so I wear them with an arch support insole which is quite padded.
