Can I wear this for Black tie?

I know it's short bit sometimes at these events (I go annually) some people wear above the knee and knee length - you don't have to wear a floor length gown.

But I still am thinking is it just far too inappropriate? I think the cape style makes it very classy and able to pull off but please give me opinions - also I love the green but maybe just makes it a tad too informal?

Yes. Black tie can be long or short dresses. Or even trousers.

@HelloDulling thank you. What do you think of the the colours? Is green just too informal? I like that it's not boring

The green is lovely. I'd wear sparkly black jewelery, shoes and bag.

Omg it's GORGEOUS! yes wear it. Anyway black tie is the description for the men's clothes when you think about it. So unless it says full length frocks are essential I'd go for it.

Doh I can't get the green in my size! Only the nude. I think I'll order nonetheless

Yes. It's lovely

I just ordered it but the green is only available in the size smaller than I need. Gutted as I'm now thinking the nude one is bit dull.
