What FitFlops?

I'm going on holiday soon and need some good walking sandals. I love my old fitflops but they need replacing now.

Has anyone got the Lulu or Gracie and can tell me if they're comfy please? Or recommend an alternative?

Thank you

I got the lulu ones a couple of years ago and really don't like them. I find them difficult to walk in, they seem to slip off my feet easily, and don't look nice on - a strangely unflattering style once on. I've had fitflops before that I've worn to death but these are really not anywhere as good sadly.

Thanks, I thought they looked like they might be hard to keep on

I loved their Cova ones, which annoyingly they no longer do. So I recently found them on Amazon. Let me see if I can find them.

I have Lulu Fitflops and they are really comfortable. However, I don't find them that easy to walk any distance in as they are quite cushioned and relatively high for a toe post sandal. I keep them to wear at home in the summer.

(I find the same thing with my Birkenstocks so it might just be me with that type of sandal).

They're nice Mary, I don't usually have strap ones but they look soft.

I got the suede open toed ones originally (very comfortable)
These are my back up!
As I said, it’s annoying Fitflop have stopped doing them.

Merrell Women's Terran Strap Ii Sandals www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07TYY4NRK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_EXS59Z9SEDEJ71AX87ZJ?psc=1&tag=mumsnetforu03-21

These are great. I can walk miles in them in all terrains.

I can walk for hours in the i-cushion fit flops. However, despite the price, the toe post breaks relatively easily if you catch the front of the flip flop under a stone, so I've been through quite a few pairs of these.

I don't think I'd recommend any of the fit flops for walking over rough or stony terrain. Hotter seem to have added some more cushioned styles to their range. There's a new one called Blake which looks quite good. The Hotter tourist look quite cute on and are good for long walks. The Hotter tropics look ugly enough to be comfortable, but they're not, so I'd give them a miss. They also do a lot of walking sandals which I haven't tried, but they do have good cushioning.

The Fit flop Lulus have a bizarre buckle placement which means you have to dislocate your hips, or grow longer arms to get them on. Once on, I find the cushioning nothing special.
