Stackers Jewellery Trays- do they prevent tarnish?

I need a neat , easy to see jewellry storage system to fit in my wardrobe-to-be .
My DD has a wall mounted mirrored jewellry case but all her silver (mainly unworn for a while) has gone dark with tarnish , I did manage to restore it .

I like the look of the Stackers but do they stop the dreaded tarnish ?
TIA

I'm not sure that any jewellery storage system will prevent tarnish on seldom worn silver. Mine does come up well after a polish with a proper jewellery cloth though. I have a stackers jewellery box but I wear most of my jewellery regularly so can't comment on tarnish but I will say that it's beautifully made and each compartment is a great size and shape for what you need.

They aren’t airtight so items will tarnish eventually but I can’t say I’ve noticed the few things in lower trays that I’ve not worn for a couple of years tarnishing. So at best they may delay tarnish compared to open storage or a single large chest that is opened daily - but only in trays you don’t open much.

Silver will always oxidise over time. It needs regular cleaning with solution or a silver cleaning cloth.

Yep this. Most of my jewellery is silver, some pieces tarnish more than others (various factors including light and humidity).

Every few months, I sit in front of the TV and and clean it all up. The silver cleaning cloths are pretty good, or you can get the 'dip' stuff in a jar, that you drop the items into.

I keep a silver cloth in my dressing table drawer for quick polishing of rings etc.

For chains the best method is to put them in hot water from the kettle with a piece of aluminium foil and some bicarb. Soak for a few minutes, rinse and rub dry gently with a cloth or tissue.

With DDs jewellery that I found in the mirrored cabinet I did the foil/hot water/salt/dishwasher tablet clean.
(DD likes gold so rarely wears silver)

Stackers are on my To Buy List Grin

Sorry I should have added I got a 5 drawer one for Christmas and absolutely love it . I haven't got the strips and so far all good.

I got the stackers box at Christmas too. Mostly silver jewellery apart from some white gold. Just checked and nothing is tarnished but from this thread I am going to buy anti tarnish strips. I never knew those existed! I used to use the tin foil and bicarbonate method previously.
