Hi I hate shopping and thought this may help me with some ideas and not waste more money on items that then I have nothing else to wear with etc ! It’s in Southampton- does anyone have any experience or am I just hoping for too much ? I would like some smart casual ideas etc TIA

Hi op. I did this in a different branch and really enjoyed it. The shopper recommended things I wouldn't normally try. She was lovely - I suppose it's luck who you get! No pressure to buy. I think I only kept a couple of bits but that was fine for me. It highlighted brands I wouldn't usually go for so overall it was useful. You've got nothing to lose!

I've done it in Southampton a couple of times and it's great. The shopper usually takes a brief and goes off to find what you are looking for and make some other suggestions. Take shoes to go with what you are looking for and be prepared to try stuff on just so the shoppers can see what you look like. And be prepared to bury stuff you weren't expecting.
I loved it and still wear the stuff from my first shop four years ago!

There are other threads on this too but my experience was not great. I'm sure it's down to who you get but I was brought lots of things that looked terrible on me and whilst I learnt about body shape it was dispiriting and i didn't leave with any items. So be prepared for some bluntness and not to get a new wardrobe if you go, you might get this with a different person but it seems experiences are v mixed.
