Comfortable stylish trainers

Looking for comfortable trainers (that will still be comfy on a long walk!) that are stylish. Ideally not white as don't want them to get dirty easily (I walk through grass a lot)

I wear black jeans mostly. I'm so unfashionable so a link or pic of a particular colourway would be great!

Apparently not sketchers

New Balance? I don't have these but I have similar ones and could happily walk all day in them.

Folicky · 11/04/2022 19:42

Geox Aspira

I have just bought New Balance, and genuinely don't understand the fuss.

They're really not very padded, they rub on the top of my foot and they're really not very wide. My £12 Decathlon trainers are way more comfy and no more ugly.

I was fancying some Air and Grace trainers Burt don't think they'll fit

browniecupcake · 11/04/2022 20:55

Air and grace are so expensive. Was looking at £100 max

I think people look good in black and white Nikes. I've been looking for trainers myself and found some on their website for £55-75.

Some of my friends wear Vans and Converse, which look good.

RampantIvy · 11/04/2022 21:14

My three year old Nike trainers are as comfortable as Skechers. I have Skechers Trail shoes for walking, but I keep them for country walks. I wear my Nike trainers for town and shopping.

LightOfAThousandStars · 11/04/2022 21:17

Which Nike trainers does everyone have? Do they look good with jeans?

bellamountain · 11/04/2022 21:20

I think if you're wearing with Jeans, Nike Internationalist look nice. Or Nike Waffle, or Nike Day Break. You can get a variety of colours, including black. New Balance are nice, although I think Nike never tend to go out of style.

After a recent thread on here I bought Air Force 1's, so so comfy even in NYC when we were doing 30k steps a day.
RampantIvy · 11/04/2022 22:42

Mine are Nike Renew. I bought them because they are really comfortable. They are very light in weight and are as comfortable as Skechers. They are black with the Nike white tick on the side.

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 11/04/2022 22:45

I am thinking of these Nikes: Revolution 6 FlyEase (laceless - I hate laces lol)
(Reviews say these ones run 1/2 size or so small)

Those don't look that dissimilar to mine @IDidntKnowItWasAParty, except they are in much better nick Grin

Just posted these on another thread - they are really comfortable and great for wslking. Navy blue though Smile

IDidntKnowItWasAParty · 11/04/2022 22:56

I had just looked up the Renew, @RampantIvy - yes they're very similar!

OP I always see Vejas and Hokas recommended as stylish and comfortable sneakers - I have no experience of either though!

browniecupcake · 12/04/2022 08:18

I normally wear Nike shoes but the mesh means they get holes so easily!!!

LightOfAThousandStars · 12/04/2022 08:43

Thanks @bellamountain and @BlueSpottedGiraffe, the Nike Internationalists look like good stylish black ones

AppleBirdBrush · 12/04/2022 16:23

I have similar to these and love them, so comfy and they've lasted ages. There's a Puma store in an outlet mall near me and you can get some real bargains.

I have a few pairs of New Balance and find them very comfy over long distances. Also loads of colour ways and many don’t have the mesh problems! I also have Puma Calis which are comfy too. I like Nikes, but the mesh seems to go holes very fast!

DaleTrimont · 12/04/2022 16:34

Fitflop trainers are the most comfortable I have ever had. I have wide feet with a high instep.

ohidoliketobe · 12/04/2022 16:35

I have terribly fussy feet, get blisters and aches from so many shoes. Nike Internationalists are the comfiest trainers I've ever owned. I've got a black and white pair and have worn them pretty much daily for coming upto 18 months now and they've lasted incredibly well. I walk +15k steps a day so not just worn for a quick 5 mins dash from car to school gate.

GrandPrismatic · 12/04/2022 16:38

I love these op

If you want comfy trainers then have a look at some skateboarding brands like Lakai, Etnies or Element.
Canvas, leather or suede, there will be options for all and being primarily designed for boarding they will be very comfy.
Some can look a bit clunky, bit they do some nice designs 👍

RampantIvy · 12/04/2022 18:23

Those Puma ones look nice @AppleBirdBrush. My Nikes are getting quite holey, so it looks like I will need some new ones soon.
