Bicester village or other?

My husband needs a new wardrobe, he hasn't bought clothes for years. Has anyone been to Bicester recently? I saw a while back they were only operating on a queue system which seemed like a pain.

I’m not sure Bicester is that good for men’s clothes. Have you checked the list of shops? Also, the clothes they sell are from the top end of the market so still expensive. Would you be better off in a large mall?

Cheshire Oaks is good

How about the other outlet villages , the Swindon one might be the next closest to Bicester ?

BundtCake · 11/04/2022 07:57

Thanks @JellyBunny but too far for us! I saw Bicester had a timberland, Calvin Klein, Levi's, Lacoste, North Face, Ralph Lauren, New Balance for men.

I've not been in years but always used to get the ex stocked up between Paul smith (great jeans for long legs), Ralph Lauren, Hugo and All saints.

I’ve been a couple of times in the last 6 months, last time no queuing at all and the time before only 1 queue for Northface. That said I get there when it opens and am gone in 90 minutes. I think the big tourist stores esp Burberry tend to have the queue system, but often they open an hour after everyone else anyway. The New Balance store is tiny !

There’s no more queue system there, it’s back to normal now. It’s quite high end there now so go with low expectations of getting everything you need.

BundtCake · 11/04/2022 10:15

Good to know about the queue system! I've always thought it was high end, it's not the kind of place you go expecting to get a designer handbag for £50.

It's the sort of place where you impulse buy. If you go there looking for a suit, you might get one, but you'd probably be better off going to a town or city with good suit shops

I have been before Smile

I went the week before last and came back with covid! But there were lots of men's clothes there too. No queues.

BundtCake · 11/04/2022 12:37

Thanks. We will give it a go, I'm sure he'll get some shirts and jeans.
