What to wear over a jumpsuit

I would really appreciate some help and views as it’s a while since I’ve been to a wedding!

I have this jumpsuit, and am not sure what to wear over the top. It’s for 3 occasions in May/June/August so am happy to spend up to £200 as I’ll get the wear out of it! Do people still wear stoles/shawls (I’m suspecting not?!)
I’d like a blazer but am worried it will look too work-like, especially as one of the weddings is with work colleagues. Maybe a flashy colour…?

I’m 5ft 7in, 40s, size 10 if that helps.
Many thanks for your help!

That’s a gorgeous jumpsuit. I’d avoid wearing anything over it if possible.
A pale coloured pashmina if it gets chilly?

PartyPlan · 10/04/2022 20:13

I keep reading pashminas are done, but they are so versatile!

Bunty55 · 10/04/2022 20:17

The legs are too short ?

marshallmum · 10/04/2022 21:05

Ok brilliant, thanks - I will get a pale pashmina and will only wear it if it gets cold.
My shoes will be a bit lower than the ones in the picture so the legs won’t look short (if anything, I need a bit of a heel to stop the bottoms trailing on the floor!)

Amazing jumpsuit!

Agreed best not to cover it up but as you will need something I reckon a cropped jacket of some sort. (I think it would love a little denim jacket but that would dress it down massively.)

I think no to the pashmina.

dudsville · 10/04/2022 21:12

The upper part of that jumpsuit is so cute. It's made for warm weather and not too be covered! Could you have a back up option for cooler weather if on the day it's needed?

halfpasteleven · 11/04/2022 06:21

What about a cropped blazer? Wouldn't be as "work like" as a blazer but would be dressy enough for a wedding, especially in hopefully summer weather..

Amelion · 11/04/2022 07:52

I agree a cropped blazer or jacket of some type would work. One that doesn’t have any fastenings in a brighter/lighter colour.

I have a navy jumpsuit, bought for two weddings this spring. Way too cold not to wear something over the top, so I bought a collarless cropped jacket in phase eight. The one I bought was half price (£100 down to £50) in the sale and long out of stock - it is textured and a fuchsia pink/purple colour, but here it is. Would the pale pink suit you?

I saw a lady recently in a jumpsuit with a faux fur stole/shrug she looked lovely, very classy.

Agree with this- anything over the sleeves would completely squash the main feature of the jumpsuit. I’d wear something underneath instead- a thermal camisole can make a big difference, as can (deeply sexy) long-legged knickers.

Some great ideas, thanks - I’ll keep my eyes open for a suitable jacket (I like the Phase eight option from WellTidy, sadly sold out in fuschia but that would have been lovely!). I also love the thermal camisole idea - hadn’t thought of that. Thanks again for all your help!
