Cardigan for this dress?

I recently bought this dress at John Lewis to wear on a work trip.

As this trip is in two weeks, it might still be a bit cold at the destination. What colour and style would go with it? Currently only have two plain black ones from H&M that are about hip length.
Got a bunch of long cardigans in light grey, dark grey, brown and cream, none of which look quite right.

I was so happy I had found something that fit me, that I didn't think any further about accessorizing. Am a size 16/18 and fairly tall at 5'8".

Great thank you very much. If only my great-grandmother had lived to 124 years old, that is exactly what she always knitted for various family members.
Trip to H&M is on the cards, then. Love the &daughter one, alas not in my budget.
