Collagen?

So having just turned 50 my FB feed seems to be full of adverts / posts about skin or anti-aging products. I don't think I look 50 (am sure everyone says that!!) but I don't have much of a routine other than moisturising morning & night.

I am thinking about starting to take collagen - firstly is this likely to help (all the adverts say better skin / hair / nails) and are those liquid sachets worth it (Absolute Collogen or similar) - they work out about £60 a month which I can't really justify but thought maybe you could take one every other day?

Or is there an alternative - marine collagen capsules from Holland & Barratt for instance which are much cheaper? Would they give the same effect?

I've been looking into collagen as a friend was raving about the good effects it's been having for her. You shouldn't go too cheap as it may not contain enough collagen to have an effect (so taking every other day would presumably be similar). Also sea kelp is a key ingredient and some don't include that. I've just bought some capsules which work out at between £20 to £39 per month depending on how many you buy

I take AHS Super Collagen +Vit C, and a separate Biotin capsule. My beauty therapist always remarks that there is plenty of 'bounce' left in my skin, and I have managed to get my menopausal hair to grow below chin length for the first time in years.
Now to deal with the thread veins. My cheeks look as if they've lived a hard rock lifestyle for years, I wish!
