Cheaper versions of Birkenstocks?

Can anyone recommend a sandal or slip on that is comfortable and that you can drive in that won’t cost a fortune? I have wide feet if that’s relevant.

Plakton, Moshulu , I’ve had Plakton and worn until they fell apart, I want a replacement style/colour which they currently don’t have, so I’m looking at Moshulu as well as Birkinstock.

I’m in Italy where Grunland shoes are widely available. Some are granny slippers but others are like Birkenstock used to be. And half the price.
Here they are on Amazon UK

I've just ordered Mosulu, there is a sale on at the mo too.

M&S do a dupe of the Arizona Birkenstock.
I would say not as supportive as real ones but good for the price.

Now had ‘real’ ones but my moshulu ones have lasted well.

Dammitthisisshit · 10/04/2022 09:12

Oh and I have very wide feet! I can’t fit most moshulu shoes but the Birkenstock style are wider.

I've had the office cork forged sandals and they're really good and more than half the price, especially as they normally have them on their offcuts website.

I looking for Birkies but am smack in between sizes (5.5 and 7) but the 7 in the office shoes fits me fine, is shorter than Birkenstock

Thanks, lots of useful info here

If M&S do their plastic Arizona copies again this year they're fab. I ended up with four colours of them last year and wore them practically 24/7.

I found that where they were less supportive than Birkenstock's they were actually more comfy. Birkenstock's usually chew my feet to pieces.

I had some of those. The strap broke after a few months. And they are definitely not suitable for driving in.

TabithaTittlemouse · 10/04/2022 12:28

Do any of the alternatives suggested have the moulded soles like Birkenstocks?
I live in my Birkenstock boots and slippers because they are so comfortable.

gunnersgold · 10/04/2022 12:30

Next have loads !

KirstenBlest · 10/04/2022 13:04

I wouldn't drive in backless shoes.

Matchingcollarandcuffs · 10/04/2022 15:27

The Office ones do have a moulded footbed, I don't quite think as shaped as Birkies but Def not flat, I can't manage flat soles at all

PlainJaneEyre · 10/04/2022 16:47

I have these from Next and they do other widths I think.

Nice. I like the Dalmatian ones.
