What face cream do I need?

The skin on my face seems to be getting really rough. Not dry as such but the texture is not good.

I am 46 and have v sensitive rosacea prone skin so normally wear nothin on it but plain moisturiser. I cleanse mainly with just water as my take the day off balm is suddenly turning my skin into a flaming burning ball of red.

I need something to improve the texture and a cleanser that is good for v sensitive skin. Can someone help? Thank you.

Cetaphil face wash. Use your hands, don't scrub.

It sounds like you may benefit from some kind of very gentle exfoliation...maybe use the cleanser mentioned above with a muslin cloth, if your skin would cope with it?

I would say it sounds like you might have damaged your skin barrier.

I would cleanse with Inky Oat Cleanser and use LRP Baume only for a few weeks. Keep it very simple and see how your skin responds.

I tend to use LaRochePosay Cicaplast when my face needs extra TLC.
I don't have rosacea but I have Lupus which produces a malar rash and facial redness that behaves pretty much like mild rosacea when I have a flare-up.
I've also used Kalme products which are really lovely and made for rosacea sufferers. In fact, I might try the Kalme serum, which I've had my eye on. I do rate the cleanser and SPF moisturiser.

Cerave was recommended to me and it's absolutely amazing, my skin has been lovely and it's only £6 on amazon!

La Roche Posay Toleraine range.

I use CeraVe wash,it removes makeup too plus the moisturiser. I have the same skin as you do.

Don’t exfoliate right now! Oil cleanser, ceramide moisturiser.
