Are big scarves in ? Or not now ?

Ok this is my problem if I wear a scooped jumper with a crew neck top it looks ridiculous. But two scoop necks and I'm cold. I'm assuming a big scarf is out these days, I'm trying to not look frumpy it's quite difficult. What's the solution, two jumpers instead 😂?

Don't laugh - I got some cheap 'boob tubes' ages ago for wearing under low-cut dresses, and they're perfect for adding a bit of warmth under a slash or scoop neck jumper. I also wear thick-strap vest tops under them, in a colour I don't mind peeking out.
I'm not a fan of 'indoor scarves' these days - I just end up faffing with them.

I just realised what you said about being cold, doh, ignore the above.
I think you need to make showing a layer underneath look deliberate - a rollneck/turtleneck, or a collared shirt.
Not that I think there's anything particularly wrong with a scarf indoors - I just footer with them!

I got a ‘heat tech’ top from Uniqlo with a ballerina neck to wear as an extra hidden layer under clothes whenever I’ve been cold.

It doesn’t cover your neck (I didn’t want it to show) but because of the material it still kept me warm.

A v neck jumper instead?

Babymamamama · 08/04/2022 13:13

That’s why I wear roll necks. I love a cosy neck but not crazy on the bundled feeling of scarves.

How often are you wearing scoop neck jumpers, because I wouldn't have said they were that common? Maybe save them for milder days and wear crew necks the rest of the time.

Are v necks a thing these days ? I haven't seen many about. I'm not saying I move in the most fashionable circles. But I'm trying to look reasonable as sometimes I need to actually go to the office ( even though we have a very casual dress code, inc jeans but no hoodies or branded wear)

@greenmeansNogo my top tip is to check the menswear department!
