Hot cloth cleansing - twice a day?

Hi, I have a query regarding hot cloth cleansing… is using it twice a day too much exfoliation? I realise it’s a gentle method of exfoliating the face but often see advice on here to only exfoliate a few times per week so it’s got me thinking…

I only use it in the evening, but I think when people say don’t exfoliate more than a few times per week, they’re referring to acids rather than hot cloth cleansing. Happy to be corrected though.

I’m sure twice is fine, the cloths are finer than a flannel.

Twice day here. Its essentially washing your face properly. I don't use a cream though, didn't get on with Liz Earle stuff at all. My face just didn't ever feel clean so I use cerave now.

I’ve been doing hot cloth cleansing once a day (in the evening) for over 20 years, whether I’ve got a bare face or a face full of makeup (which isn’t often tbh) and I just splash with cold water and then moisturise in the mornings. I’m 50 and my skin is great! Twice a day would definitely be too often.

I always do it twice a day. It's a thick cream cleanser and a soft cloth so hardly in the realm of deep exfoliation. I had always assumed the advice to exfoliate sparingly referred to the use of active ingredients/chemical exfoliants or grainy facial scrubs.

I just do once a day. My skin doesn't like water so I don't wet it in the mornings but each to their own.

You can hot cloth cleanse with any cleanser. It's just become a buzzword since LE etc started selling cloths with their cleansers.
I don't bother in the morning.

Evening only.

I use a wet cloth in the morning with some water, and that all.

Evening only. Twice a day would be too much for my skin.
