Show me your long hair styles

I'm just looking for inspo for a more interesting hair cut other than straight across. Someone once suggested to me that layers on long hair don't work but my bra-strap length hair is looking a bit hippy and drab. It's quite thick and looks nice once brushed I guess but it doesn't take long for it to look stringy and unloved.

I was really looking forward to having long hair but now that I've finally got it I'm not feeling the glamour.

I've got long layers and a curtain fringe ( so long hair with a centre parting )

I'm terrible for just shoving it up most of the time but when I wear it down I use ghd's to curl it in a sort of 70's flick away from my face.

I've attached a pic of how I wear it when it's down. I couldn't do much with it unless it's layered though.

Layers give it more body and make it more 'swishy' iyswim?
