I.e. disco and buffet

Do you dress for a big night out or for a wedding?

If in doubt just wear a dress. Bit of jewellery, some nice shoes and you can't go wrong. If you don't like dresses a jumpsuit would be good instead.

For the day do you might want to add a hat or something in your hair but don't have to. Maybe a jacket if you think you might get cold.

Nice dress. Think about the average Phase 8 dress.... and don't wear that sort of thing. Dress for your average wine bar/cocktail bar and you won't go wrong. But not too short! Or booby. God. I sound like my mum. Shock

I'm not going to the day. I'm wondering if I need wedding atire or something more suited to a night out? It seems odd to dress for a daytime wedding to go out in the evening, but then it is a wedding and, presumably, lots of guests will be wearing what they wore earlier.

Like I said, if you're only attending the evening do then what you'd wear to a bar is about right.

Definitely not big night out. More nice restaurant night out.

Don't dress for a night out. Wedding attire, minus the hats and frills basically.
Think a fancy dinner.

I would dress as if going for a nice meal out.

After all if you've not made the cut for the main event, it's not worth putting that much effort in.
