Is this coat too big?

Thanks to you lovelies I got a coat from &,Other Stories in their sale. I'm a size 10/12 so I bought a 12. Wishing I'd bought a 10! The shoulders are a bit wide and the coat feels a bit too big. Send it back or keep based on the photos? I'd a winter jumper on under the coat to show the fit.

Of course all the size 10s in the sale are now gone!

No it looks great to me. Supposed to be a bit over sized isn't it?

I would return if you are in any way unsure as otherwise you'll never feel completely comfortable or happy in it. It does look big on you.

I think its drowning you. I like oversized but it just looks far too big on you.

It looks too big rather than oversized to me, it doesn't fit well in the arms or across the shoulders. I would send it back.

I think it may be the fashion currently, even if you sized down I expect it would appear oversized, I ordered an allsaints trench recently which swamped me a bit. I sent it back as I didn't love the fit of it enough to justify the price tag.

A size down would look much better.

BUT I am no expert on UK coat trends at the moment.

I tried that coat on in the shop and the 10 was just as bad - it was just huge in general and I felt weird in the 6 (they didn’t have an 8). It was really too long for me in sleeves and overall length as well.

You looked swamped, but theres a current fashion for gigantic coats so I can't really say

Yes I think it’s too big, and I love oversized coats. If you are able to exchange, I would try the smaller.

I think puffa duvet coats are fine oversized but a wool coat just looks weird

It looks like it's too big in the shoulders but a 10 wouldn't fit you well across the bust.

It looks like you're playing dress up with your Grandads clothes. Sorry - not a great look.

I don't like oversized, as you need to be really tall to not look like you are not playing dress-up in your mum's clothes. I would have gone for an 8, and it looks like it still would have been slightly oversized. If you are anything like me, you will never feel comfortable in that coat, so send it back and get a smaller size.

It's too big. Oversized is one thing, but this isn't oversized in a good way - you just look swamped in the arms and shoulders I'm afraid.

Yes it’s definitely too big, I’d even suggest trying an 8 as it looks like an oversized style coat

It's 90% in favour of return by the looks of the replies and I just don't feel comfortable in it either. Back it goes!!

I see you've decided to return it, but just to say I agree with the majority. Nice coat but much too big.
