Boots in summer, advise me oh wise ones!

I hate sandals, it's only just occurred to me. I have some Birks and just don't think they suit my style, and I am so fed up of trainers.
I am a boot girl really, I wear my docs all winter.

Summer always poses a problem for my feet, as sandals are usually super flat and often hurt, and I walk a lot.
So I saw some lovely brown lace up ankle boots in leather and thought they would go with a few of my dresses, etc. But come the hot weather I might not fancy putting them on. What do you think?

I love these, aesthetically, but the price is ridiculous for what they are.

I’ve often worn boots in the summer with dresses apart from on the few days when it’s ultra hot. Go for it - I think it’s a good look personally!

I do wear sandals but not a full shoe, i don't own one pair, so I go from ankle boots straight into sandals, I'm looking for a summer ankle boot maybe a mushroom colour, to wear with summer dresses.

I always get little stones in the footbed of sandals.
It's a bit like when you're a kid and just want to go anywhere in something, climb a tree, I feel restricted in dainty shoes!
