Minimising pores

Is it possible?

I have naturally open pores… so does my mum, so I’m blaming her! 🤣

Is there anything you know that works well?

Thanks

You can’t change size. Can’t Shrink them, they are fixed holes in your skin with no muscles. use minimizing makeup products to camouflage.

Thanks. Unfortunately I don’t wear make up.

I found changing my face wash helped a bit, they're still big but they don't get dirt stuck in them quite so obviously.

You may be able to do better but I settled on this one

3% Glycolic Solutions Cleanser,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00YP3IUO6?ref=ppxpoppmobappshare

Benefit porefessional helps disguise mine a bit.

I use Niacinamide. Some info from Paula's Choice.

How does niacinamide help pores? Great question, although the answer here isn’t certain. Simply put, research hasn’t come to a full understanding about how this B vitamin works its pore-reducing magic, but it does! It seems that niacinamide has a normalising ability on the pore lining, and this influence plays a role in keeping debris from getting backed up, which leads to clogs and rough, bumpy skin. As the clog forms and worsens, the pores stretch to compensate, and what you’ll see is enlarged pores. By helping things get back to normal, niacinamide use helps pores return to their normal size. Sun damage can cause pores to become stretched, too, leading to what some describe as "orange peel skin". Higher concentrations of niacinamide can help visibly tighten pores by shoring up skin’s supportive elements.

I also use niacinamide and I think it’s made a difference. I’ve got The Ordinary one at the moment, I liked the Revolution one too. Both cheap!

Another one for niacinimide (I use the ordinary serum and the pure powder) along with blurring primer

If it's age related that they appear worse or more prominent (due to sagging) then your options are limited.

Razzlepuff is right.

Hatinafield · 04/04/2022 19:24

I’ve bought the Revolution niacinamide and taken a before photo, I’ll give it a go for a few weeks and update!

Niacinamide and Zinc serum is the best thing to minimise pores. It isn't expensive at all and loads of brands do one but I like The Ordinary's by Deciem. Superdrug do a good one too, but now we can't get it in Ireland!
Use it day and night after cleansing and if you use toner, after that. Pat it in or it tends to foam a bit. Let it sink in for about a minute before applying anything else!
Nothing will make pores disappear but niacinamide and zinc serums certainly make them less noticeable! Good luck OP!
