Best facial sun block

Obelisk · 02/04/2022 12:04

I’ve yet to find a facial sun block that isn’t either chalky or greasy. Would welcome any recommendations- am looking for something that feels light but with high spf.

Thank you!

Make P:REM is spf 50 and a mineral block so it works on application, no white cast and cruelty free.

Stylevana sell it.

Thank You Farmer SPF 50 is really good

OrangeBlossom28 · 02/04/2022 13:52

Biore SPF50 Watery Essence is great.

cannaethink · 02/04/2022 14:24

I’ve used Biore watery essence for years and think it’s great. But the price has gone up loads recently and there’s always the worry of fakes.
Yesterday I bought Nivea shine control spf 50 after seeing it recommended on here.
I’ve only used it today but so far I’m liking it! Dries matte and was fine under make up. It was £6 in Tesco.

Biore watery essence here too.
The Garnier/Ambre Solaire spf50 lotion and spray are quite good but Biore remains my favourite.

Currently using Ultra Violette Supreme Screen and finding it vg. They have a tester pack of 4 different sunscreens for £20 which is a pretty good offer.

Love Nivea SPF50 shine control as mentioned by Cannaethink. I used to bulk buy Biore watery essence, but now I found this Nivea one I am very satisfied and have stopped looking at any others. Previously tried lots of different ones, some very expensive, but this Nivea one is great. Like it just as much as Biore but can buy it locally Smile

Apologies if slightly hijacking thread but would you put this on before or after moisturiser?

Justjoinedforthis · 02/04/2022 15:02

I’ve just started using City Cocoon , which is factor 50 and apparently protects against pollution…not sure if it does, but it feels good quality when I use it

ArabeI · 02/04/2022 15:02

I used to use the Biore years ago.

Currently use La Roche-Posay Anthelios (spf50) cream and/or La Roche Posay Anthelios spray (spf 50) or Amber solaire over make up spray (50). I prefer the over make up sprays rather than the cream, to be honest. I only use both, cream and spray, on very hot days.

After.

I have just bought the Nuxe factor 50 face cream.
It absorbs well and does not leave a residue.

I really like Altruist factor 50 ( developed by a dermatologist ) and is very reasonably priced and can get on Amazon, if I’m in a rush I use it instead of a moisturiser otherwise over a moisturiser.

GlendaCheese · 02/04/2022 20:08

Epionce Ultra Shield is easily absorbed and non-chalky, feels lovely

justaweeone · 02/04/2022 20:14

La Roche-Posay Anthelios

Fancyateapottea · 02/04/2022 20:45

I second thank you farmer spf 50. Just like putting moisturiser on, no white cast and not greasy at all. I much prefer it to the La Roche posay one I was using before.
