Rough hands

RaRathebravelion · 01/04/2022 14:04

I sometimes get rough hands from cleaning. I should wear gloves but haven't lately and my hands are very tough today like sandpaper!! I have a little baby so I want to have nice soft hands for him

I do wash my hands a lot and I moisturise a lot but they need more. A good hand scrub? Pumice? Cotton gloves with moisturiser?

Any and all tips / recommendations welcome!

Use Savlon three times a day as hand cream for a week, and see if that helps.

I've never used savlon

I thought it was an antiseptic cream

Have you tried O’keeffe’s working hands?

I use a sugar scrub (designed for face) to keep my hands soft.
For day I use Neal's Yard geranium hand lotion, but that might not suit your hands as they're very dry. At night I use La Roche Posay soothing repairing balm. They have a specific hand cream but I prefer this. Gloves might help also!

In the evening:
Mix granulated sugar with olive oil or cooking oil and spend 5 minutes really working it well into your hands.
Rinse off and pat dry.
Apply a good layer of Atrixo hand cream and put a pair of cotton gloves on the top, wear them to bed.
Repeat nightly and your hands will be beautiful!
Make sure you always dry your hands properly and use hand cream as often as you can.
If you’re doing gardening apply barrier cream and wear gardening gloves.

Thanks

Haven't tried o'keefe

I think I do need to exfoliate them and then moisturise well
