I've been invited to an awards do at work in June, and I have nothing that fits me looks smart enough. It's not an evening gown event, but most people will probably dress up a bit more than their usual work clothes. Think "nice jeans, heels and a lovely top", if that weren't so out of fashion!
Does anyone have any thoughts for an outfit? I'm Asian and the awards event relates to that, so I'd love something that reflects that, or that I could wear with my mum's gorgeous jewellery. Not a sari or salwar kameez though: I've only ever worn Western clothes in my life, and it would feel too much like dressing up in a costume to start now!
I suit all jewel colours, and I'm eyeing up www.boden.co.uk/en-gb/addie-linen-midi-dress-leafy-green-placement-print/sty-w0793-grn but not sure if it's too casual. I suspect it'd look like a dressing gown on me too.
I'm size 12/14, huge boobs and fat arms, so I'd be uncomfortable in sleeveless. Does anyone have any suggestions?
