How much will I regret a white denim jacket?

I'm looking for a throw it on with anything type of jacket for "nice" casual outfits iyswim.

Initially I saw a blue suede biker jacket, then thought about blue denim and whilst browsing that came across a white one...

Which would you go for?

I think white could work if you could keep it clean (washes well).

Is the blue a royal blue? I have a royal blue suede biker jacket that I hardly ever wear!

I’ve got both white and blue denim jackets, the blue definitely gets more use but the white is really nice for wearing with denim jeans and not looking like a member of B*Witched

I got mine from primark, I wouldn’t spend loads of money on it

I bought one 10 years ago for 18 quid. Wear it every summer.

You will never regret having a white denim jacket.

Wash with some Vanish in - comes up like new every time. Goes with everything

MyBottleOfRibena · 31/03/2022 16:12

I saw a nice mint coloured one in next that I was quite tempted by at the weekend

Silverclocks · 31/03/2022 16:38

The suede is a washed denim colour

White denim jacket is a staple for summer is it not.

I have both white and a pale grey denim jackets and both are perfect for cooler summer evenings. Currently trying to lose the pandemic weight in time to use them this summer!

LittleGwyneth · 31/03/2022 20:01

I think the ideal is to have a white and a denim one you can use interchangeably. They're incredibly useful.

TequilaShot · 01/04/2022 01:38

I have a white one. It doesn't get as dirty as you think. Really versatile. I love mine and wear it a lot with blue jeans.

ouch321 · 01/04/2022 01:48

I'd buy all 3.
Love denim and suede jackets.

RustyShackleford3 · 01/04/2022 01:53

White denim jacket is a summer staple.

Just make sure it's one that's easy to wash.

The trouble with white denim is that in your mind it’s all summer, sangria and Liz Hurley.

Reality shown in mirror is tubby pensioner with a perm on a cruise.

Can you link please?

OP you need both! Can never have too many jackets.

@EdgeOfSeventeenAndThreeQuarter haha! I’ve just checked with my daughters and they’ve said it’s ok for me to buy a denim jacket to wear over summer dresses this year! I’m 65 size 12 and short. I’d quite like a white one but would get it dirty on day 1! I’m on the search for a cream/beige one
I had a beautiful fitted denim jacket years ago but gave it to the charity shop when I turned 50 as I thought I was too old to wear it. Wish I’d realised that I can wear anything I like!

Knittingnanny2 · 30/04/2022 12:34

Ps I’ve just bought a mid blue one from next but didn’t see any coloured ones in store

TollgateDebs · 30/04/2022 13:57

A long time lover of denim jackets here, in a variety of colours and my go to over dresses. If there's a colour I would like and can't get (or refuse to pay a crazy price for) then I buy white (I do have a white one anyway) and dye it.

I love my Zara white one! It’s so handy in the summer and goes with everything really. I work in a school so occasionally get pen etc over it but vanish is a godsend. I feel like a blue one would go with less and look at bit early 2000s vibe esp with jeans
