Anyone bought new tops recently? Care to share?

Okay, so I desperately need to update my wardrobe and step away from bretons. Ignore the fact that I have two in shopping baskets which I intend to purchase 🤣. I need a couple of new jumpers and … I don’t know , just something different to add variety to my wardrobe although I’ll still be wearing jeans/cargos and trainers.

If you’ve bought anything, or have your eye on something, do you fancy sharing it? I can’t be the only Mnetter needing inspiration!

I might return the sweatshirt only because I have loads of them, but I don't have one this colour.

I bought this jumper from Asda. Beautifully soft & cosy, fits nice & feels lovely.

I just got a hush mimi top - somewhere in between a T-shirt and a sweatshirt in weight and with puff 3/4 sleeves. Going to wear casually and also with wide leg trousers for work. Like it so much just ordered in a second colour!

I recently purchased these from RI the stripe would be right up your street - stock comes in and out all of the time.

I feel like tops are so hard - I'm also a Breton addict. I've bought various blouses with massive collars which I like under dungarees, and was surprised by how nice some of the tops on Boden are (have a bit of a Boden prejudice based on some of their horrors from the noughties). Also if you ever see the M&S linen mix t-shirts, buy one. They are the genuinely perfect white t-shirt.

I'm pleased with both although the jersey tops are really, really oversized even for Hush - the t-shirts not so much. Could have done with a size smaller in the top than t-shirts and they'd still have looked oversized! I like them for the v neck, which is my preferred neckline, and the colours and softness. Viscose which I know some people are snobby about but where I never buy polyester I like viscose and its no less sustainable than cotton or linen.

@Thinkle - I like that! I bought a denim tunic/dress from Tescos recently but much prefer that Cos top.

@Thinkle - have seen online my sizes are out of stock and it probably looks better with someone not as booby as me anyway!

@JanisMoplin, would the Baukjen top have been warm? They had lovely hoodies last year, not sure whether they’re stocking them again now but will have a look. Needs to be warm though.

Ah yes, I’m not booby in the slightest which maybe why I like it. I found it tucked away in a corner of Cos in Westfield’s in London so was surprised to see it was sold out, definitely wasn’t being pushed via their marketing.

@Tigofigo I was wearing black oversized scuba (so quite rigid) joggers when I tried it on which worked and in this pic I have my loose fit dungarees underneath. I like to lean into the oversized look which I know isn’t everyone’s choice.

I have that red sweatshirt from Baukjen too, I also bought it in green and am really happy with them both. Beautifully soft and lovely colours for spring.
