Can anyone recommend a tinted moisturiser with an SPF?

Just looked up Nars and it’s not cruelty free. Does anyone have any other suggestions that are cruelty free that they’d recommend please ?

AgnesNaismith · 28/03/2022 07:33

I had no idea if a brand sells in China it can’t be cruelty free, the law requires a company to test on animals before going to market! Nars is cruelty free in all other jurisdictions and claims to be trying to eliminate the requirement to test. Doesn’t really make it ok though.

I use Chantecaille. It isn’t cheap but is great and you only need a tiny bit.

Erborian , Chanel Les Beiges or Bobbi Brown

Hourglass is cruelty free but is expensive. I prefer Nars.

I have the Chanel cc cream but I don’t overly like it, not sure why as I love their foundations. I used to use Becca stuff but can’t find it anywhere but apparently smash box is bringing some items back

Shiseido BB Cream SPF 30. Not many shades (only 3 in fact but great job hydrating combi skin and SPF)

RestingPandaFace · 28/03/2022 17:07

I have never found one that is a decent colour match for my skin. I have very fair cool toned skin and they are always too orange.

Then I discovered No7 foundation drops which you mix with your preferred moisturiser. They are really good and I never bother with foundation any more.

Clinique City block. 40spf, tinted and oil free.

Beauty pie is great.

But you ALWAYS need a minimum of SPF and it shouldn’t be a tinted moisturiser. Layer up.

@17to35

I love origins ginzing SPF40
This looks absolutely awful and greasy on me and I have dry skin

Nars or this Cantecaille. Its 20% off at Cult Beauty at the moment (can't afford it still but in case you can!)

Estée Lauder tinted moisturiser

Italianmeringuebuttercream · 29/03/2022 18:51

I love Laura mercier, when I wear a slightly darker shade I'm always told I look amazing - like I've been away. My usual shade is bisque and darker is almond. I love it. Agree you need an actual sun screen though, you'll not be properly protected with a small amount of tinted moisturiser.

Another vote for Bars. Trinny London BFF is also good.

KittyDee · 29/03/2022 21:43

Green People is good. They don’t have many shades though. I have light and medium and mix them depending on whether I have a tan and also mix with a moisturiser at this time of year as it’s a bit dry for me. However always get compliments on my skin when using it- think I tend to err on the side of a bit tanned but hopefully not too orange 😂
