What top with this skirt?

Any suggestions? Sadly I am not slim enough to get away with a skin tight tucked in top! Size 12, 32F.

Is go with a fitted t-shirt as the cut of the skirt makes your lower half wider.

That skirt is lovely (cannot believe it is from Roman Originals where my 90 year old mother gets things that are ‘a bit jazzy’).

Because of your shape, you will need something that’s not high necked, right? How about a sleeveless v neck top made of cotton, or jersey that is thick enough not to be clingy (ponte di roma?) that stops around the level of your waist?

Something with a sweetheart/scoop neckline? If the skirt sits on your waist you could get away with a tight top right?

@Iamthewombat I know! I've never ordered from Roman before, because of its old lady reputation, but I couldn't resist this. They've actually got a few bits I'm tempted by . . .

Have googled that fabric but can't find anything made out of it.

I'm likely to wear it with Birkenstocks rather than heels.

@bunpot I could get away with something fitted but would probably wear it over the top of the skirt - a short body and generous bust don't work well with tucked in tops.

That M&S T-Shirt is not ideal because of the collar. You'd look better with a v-neck. The material looks good though

For casual? White vest or fitted t-shirt and denim jacket?

Skirt has gone back - fabric thin and see-through. Thank you for the ideas.
