Jumpsuit for a Wedding!

Hoping you can all help. I have a wedding to go to in November and thought I'd like to wear a jumpsuit. However because I know what I want I can't find it anywhere! I'd preferably like a sleeveless v neck jumpsuit, definitely not cropped, in a solid colour, maybe emerald, just not black. I'm 5'7" so would prefer a tall range if possible. Picture attached of the closest example I can find. Has anyone seen anything that would fit the bill? Thanks

I wouldn't wear black to a wedding nor would I wear a jumpsuit of all things. This would be perfect for a party or a night out but not for a wedding, surely.

floofycroissant · 27/03/2022 07:02

Did you actually read the OP @merrymelodies? A jumpsuit is a great idea and OP has specified NO black.

You didn't mention your size, but would this work? Couple of options left:

Boden often have a good range of jumpsuits in a range of colours that aren't black. I think one like the example you have found would look great for a wedding.

merrymelodies · 27/03/2022 07:16

Oops! I should have read the OP more carefully. Green would definitely work for a wedding. Jumpsuits aren't my personal preference but I'm not the one wearing it!Smile

Sounds fabulous, go for it!

mnnewbie111 · 27/03/2022 07:46

Jumpsuits look amazing at weddings, especially in the colours you say . I'll keep my eye out.

MartinMartinMarti · 27/03/2022 07:51

Jumpsuits are fab at weddings. I’m looking for one at the moment, and there are good ones in Mango.

TiredThursday · 27/03/2022 10:10

@floofycroissant I love the colour of that one and they do have my size (12) but I think I need something more fitted around the torso, like thu
Is one from Next. Unfortunately this only comes in red or black and the sleeves wouldn't suit me as I have broad shoulders.

@BreakfastOfWaffles Thanks, I'll have a look at Boden, hadn't considered there.
@mnnewbie111 Thank you!
@MartinMartinMarti I will have a look at Mango, thank you

Absolutely not!

TiredThursday · 27/03/2022 10:20

@MartinMartinMarti Mango was a great suggestion - found the style I was looking for straight away! Not my first choice of colour but definitely worth trying on. If it's half as flattering on me as on the model in this photo I'm sold!

Those of you that said no to a jumpsuit, is there any specific reason why? I have plenty of occasion dresses I could wear but I felt a jumpsuit would be more modern (and more practical for November!)

I think a jumpsuit would be lovely for a wedding!

Some people find jumpsuits tricky toilet-wise. I think that depends on the style of the jumpsuit and the length of your arms though!

Gensola · 27/03/2022 14:11

Lol I’m planning on wearing an ivory jumpsuit to my own wedding in August! Something like this one but in ivory. Why all the jumpsuit hate?! 😁
OP Nancy Mac (linked) have lots of gorgeous jumpsuits including some velvet ones which would be stunning!

@Gensola I saw some lovely bridal jumpsuits when googling "wedding jumpsuit", I bet you'll look fabulous. And the Nancy Mac jumpsuits are gorgeous, the one you linked is also the perfect colour, sadly more than I can justify spending at the moment.

I bought this one from phase eight - its really comfortable - I added a sparkly belt as it was for an evening do. Phase eight have lots of lovely jumpsuits which would fit the bill.

I have the one that @albird posted. Its gorgeous, v flattering. I'm 5'5 and needed heels so worth a try at 5'7

TiredThursday · 27/03/2022 19:21

Thanks @waltzingparrot @Palavah @albird some great suggestions there. I hadn't heard of Sugarlips before...do we think a satin jumpsuit is too much? I love the colour of it. Or this one which also comes in a lovely royal blue...

I tried on the mango one in a different pattern, loved it but as I'm quite a bit shorter than you op it drowned me. Think it would be lovely if you are taller and now trying to find a petite version (which mango don't do)

Whatcaniwear · 27/03/2022 19:46

I wore this to a wedding. www.yumi.co.uk/yumi-teal-angel-velvet-jumpsuit-p6438 It also comes in emerald green. I wanted a Nancy Mac one but thought I would try this first and loved it.

TiredThursday · 27/03/2022 20:39

@Littlebelina Now that's encouraging, I'm not overly tall but have longer legs and a short torso so a lot of trousers are too short, particularly if I want to wear heels (which I always do!) Mango one is definitely going on the list to order then.

Be careful with the Sugarlips site. A skirt I liked is £55.00 shipping!
