Desperate for flattering jeans (not skinny)

Looking for a flattering pair of jeans. Not skinny please. I have the stradvirus mom jeans but don't actually find them that flattering. I am a size 8, 5ft 6inch with not a huge budget.

Honestly and no joke, my daughter 16 is a similar sizevsnd height and looks great in Flared jeans!

I have just been given a pair of Zara flared jeans and they are so flattering!

They come up big because of the elastic waist so I got a size 32 and they're perfect. They sit just above the ankle on me when rolled down. Great for summer and come in 4-5 different shades.

I’ve just bought low rise flares from River Island, really looking forward to wearing with flip flops and vest top during the hotter months, they are so flattering and comfortable, will stick with my skinnies for winter as I don’t like flares with anything else apart from sliders/flip flops.

Honestly, your shape is more important than your height / clothes size.

I'd go to New look and spend an hour trying on as many as possible. Even different mom jeans because they are all cut slightly differently. Cropped, wide leg and flare are other good options.

What sort of silhouette do you like? I like mom jeans for mooching, but have a pair of high waisted wide leg which actually look very structured and dressy, even with trainers.

Watch the back pockets, the placement of pockets, size and shape can really make a difference as to whether jeans are flattering from the rear

Jeans are a minefield. I’m practically living in a pair of M&S height waitsted wide leg jeans at the moment and if they look good on my 5ft3 size 8 (edging to 10) frame then I’m sure an extra 3 inches would make them look even better. Just under £30.

The New Look waist enhance Tori mom jeans. £30, last forever, the perfect jeans IMO.

I was like you and after looking and trying on plenty of more expensive jeans, I’m delighted with H&M mum jeans. £24! Much more flattering than my Levi’s and a third of the price. Same height as you, size 36.

Can you link the m&s wide leg jeans.

Thanks ladies! I'm going to try your suggestions. Although I really don't think I can go back to low rise 🙈 I could definitely go back to flares but my stomach is more stretch mark than skin 😆

Isn't 32 waist huge on a size 8? I'm an 8-10 and usually a 28

I bought these from Zara. I'm 5'9" and bought a size 10.

@Tigofigo they were Zara EU sizing. I think a 32 equates to a U.K. size 4. Only because they were quite baggy and big in the bum on me, but that's the style. With my hourglass shape baggy just doesn't look very good. The rest of the sizes I got were a 36 in the wide leg which is a U.K. 8.
