What shoes with this dress?

I really like it, reminds me of the 90's, the slip dress era. It is second hand and only a few quid.

I don't much like the current stuff out there, a bit too fussy or billowy for me. I do like loose clothes but not voluminous!

I want to buy the dress pictured but am not sure what to wear on my feet. In winter i do black docs and chelsea boots. In summer i usually wear either Birks or white pumps - but i am soooo tired of them! The birks make my feet look like spades (i have snappy ankles) and the trainer thing just bores me.

What footwear would wear it with for summer?

Thanks, they're nice, worried about how flat though, might hurt my soles. Urrgh i hate summer footwear, I just want to wear boots all year.

Red converse?

I'm trying to love sandals and can't quite get there.
Just seen the saltwater ones, look ok but worried about them being too hard and flat.

Red converse sound interesting, would not have thought of that! I used to have some red superga's which were comfier on my feet. thanks:)

Is a boot just stupid for summer?
In my teens I wore tall lave up docs all year round, the idea now just seems suffocating, i dunno!

Get some DM sandals, I got the Blaire sandals last year and they’re look fab with that dress.
