Does my hair look hacked at?

I asked for a long fringe and layers but I just feel she hacked and it and I hate it.

Maybe rewash and style as usual then see how it looks? If you’re still unhappy maybe go back and ask for a blunter cut. It looks a bit feathered but it isn’t awful.

kimchichichi · 26/03/2022 12:13

It looks too straight to tell. Is it straightened?

I'd rough dry it with a side parting and some volumiser in the roots of the fringe and have another look.

ItsDinah · 26/03/2022 12:19

It looks as if you've brought hair from the back of your head forward to hang in front of your shoulders. That can't be right. What happens when you let the hair lie straight from where it grows at the back and the sides?

Thoosa · 26/03/2022 12:22

It looks like very heavy layering around the face. Is the back the same?

It doesn’t look “hacked at”. It looks quiet even. But they’ve made it overly thin by taking too much weight out, IMO. If it was my head, I’d go and have six inches taken off to get a blunter lob, if I’m honest.

LaraDeSalle · 26/03/2022 13:01

It’s not hacked but that feathered look is a bit dated and doesn’t match the heavier hair at the back.

I would either grow it out or get weight taken off the back to give it an all over long wispy/feathered bob.

Personally, I would grow it out.

LaraDeSalle · 26/03/2022 13:03

Heavier = feathered.

lostandlonely21 · 26/03/2022 13:15

This is how it looks when washed and straightened. I want it one length but don't want to lose the length so don't know what to do! Argh wish I'd just left it haha.

Did you post this before?

Malibuismysecrethome · 26/03/2022 21:26

I would have about 3” taken off the length instead of being a feather cut it looks endy.

Cakesnbiscuit · 26/03/2022 21:27

I think it looks lovely, but after reading this thread maybe I’m showing my age and outdated 😂🤣

DogsAndGin · 26/03/2022 21:42

It’s lovely OP, you’ve got great hair

DoWhatYouLike · 26/03/2022 21:55

Sorry, but I'd be complaining to the hairdresser. It looks like someone's chopped at it with kitchen scissors.

declutteringmymind · 26/03/2022 22:26

It's very feathered. But not awful or poorly cut. Depends what you asked for though.
It won't be that bad if you don't want to wear your hair that straight normally.

I'd go back and ask for it to be blunted. It will make it look a little thicker.
