A tights question?

Going to a black tie event next week. First time I’ve dressed up since pre pandemic. I have a black dress to wear so that is sorted.

But what are the expectations around tights these days? Black? Nude? None?

Don’t particularly want to go without tights - my legs are so pale that “blue” is probably the best description of my skin tone. Fake tan is just so not me.

So tights. Help?!?!

I too am blue. However, I would never wear black tights to an evening event in Spring. I opt for nude tights that match my skin in a Sheen finish. NOT Matt or shiny finish. So my legs look like mine but a better ‘finish’.

M and S used to do a good range. But you might be better looking at some of the higher end ranges in JL?

Sally Hansen make-up for legs in light is your friend. I can't do fake tan but this is foundation for your legs. It takes the edge off the blue glare and makes your legs even. It costs around £3 for the mousse, so worth a shot.

If it doesn't work, you can soap it off and wear nude tights.

I would just go for nude tights. Maybe Autograph?

I second Sally Hansen. Go for the lightest one and spray on your hands first. Don’t be alarmed by how orange it looks! Slap it about on your legs then rub in. My legs don’t look tanned with it on, just a bit more alive.

I barely wear make up on my face so I think make up on my legs is a bit ambitious.

I have bought some tights! I even went to a shop to do it! (Normally I just buy stuff online.)
