How do you turn up jeans?

Bought my first pair of jeans in years yesterday.

Feeling very out of touch since reading something yesterday about how awful hipster jeans were (which I used to love!), how everyone is now wearing waist-hugging jeans (which I've always thought of as mumsy), etc.

Just wondering how you turn up jeans? Do you just roll up the cuff? Slice them off and hem them? Slice them off and fray them (might be showing my age here!!!)? Something else?

Maybe it doesn't matter? Just don't want to look a complete twat.

If you want them cuffed then just cuff them. Otherwise cut them slightly longer than you want them and fray the bottom.

Don't hem them, home hemmed jeans never look right, although occasionally you find places that can do proper jeans hems.

You could try this method....

I've done this and it just didn't look right at all, it kept wanting to flip itself back out and it just looked a bit odd.

I'd chop them off and fray them, or if they're mum/skinny/something other than bootcut/flares, just roll them to the length you need.
