Injured toe - I need super soft shoes!

Help! I've injured my toe - dropped a vacuum on it! It's swollen and my nail is black, can't bear anything touching my nail from the top. I think it'll take a while to recover so ideally need some shoes to wear that are not sandals - next week looks nippy! Any suggestions for super soft shoes?!

@nearlyspringyay can I ask how long it takes to stop hurting and then get better?!

I broke three toes a couple of summers ago. Sketchers trainers with the supersoft insoles were what I wore once I stopped wearing the hospital boot.

When I broke a toe - little one first time; big toe 2nd time, I found wooden clogs easiest. I had a very old pair of Dr Scholl clogs and they did the trick because the toes didn't bend. The closed in one's.

big toe - have it seen. a broken big toe might need bandaging up if broken.

crocs are roomy, but also toe-grabby iyswim

I dropped the vacuum on mine too! My skechers trainers were best. It didn't hurt for long unless I wore boots which pressed down. But the nail grew back lumpy and eventually fell off Shock

Thanks for the suggestions! Sketchers trainers are virtually the same as the new balance ones I've got and can't wear. Maybe it's a case of a few more days. I could do with being able to get something non sandal on my feet for Monday!

My skechers are the air cooled memory foam ones...the top bit is like a netting mesh, not sure if that is different to new balance, but think that is why they didn't press on my toe?
