Dress SOS- husband awards ceremony

DH has been shortlisted for an award through his work and we have been invited to the awards ceremony in May. It's the first awards of its type (think post-covid type thing) so I can't look online for ideas. Dress code is helpfully described as smart casual. DH doesn't know anyone else going so can't ask them.

What do I wear? I'm 5ft 1 size 10/12 with a disproportionately large tummy. Feel uncomfortable in cami style dresses but don't need a full sleeve as such. Would love something I can wear again. Budget up to £100. Will also need shoes as don't think trainers will cut it!

All ideas appreciated.

I think if you have a bit of a tummy, it's always best to wear tummy control pants. I'm a size 8 and wear them for occasion wear. It makes everything nice and smooth under a dress.
