Sleeveless cotton nightgown, can anyone help?

Hi, I am looking for a sleeveless all-cotton nightgown which is not so long it looks like something my mother would wear, and tangles around my legs in bed.

But also not a cute/"sexy" mini one that is so short that my bum ends up sticking out. (I am neither an old lady, nor a young and cute lady!). So about knee length I guess. I have found this very hard to find.

When I say sleeveless, I don't mean short sleeves, nor straps, I mean like a sleveless vest. Preferably plain, in a dark colour and definitely no ruffles and puffles, lacy bits or the like. And no cute slogan or pictures of cats etc on the front! Understated and classy but not frumpy would be what I am going for. Can anyone help? I am prepared to shell out for the right one!

Not 100% match for your criteria but the chemise style from Cyberjammies comes in various lengths and prints. It's 60% cotton and 40% modal and beautiful quality - smooth, cool and longlasting. This one is a dark plain ish print though not available in all sizes as in the sale. Other prints available in all sizes.

I just love these for comfort, elegance and coming out of the wash as good as new.

I just came on to say the chemise from Cyberjammies too. I've got loads of these, they're a great fit and really comfy... don't twist around in the night.

The cotton is amazing quality.

Zara Home does lovely nightdresses of the kind you describe, definitely worth a look.

Anchoredowninanchorage · 23/03/2022 22:54

Definitely Zara home & Oysho for the more modern contemporary romantic look. Would agree though that David Neiper have gorgeous designs and fabrics , expensive but lovely to support British manufacturing & design if you can .

I got mine in Morrisons last year.

Cologne and Cotton. Also I have exactly what you describe, it's from M&S but six months ago.

Hanro nighties are lovely. I've got one just like you describe, scoop neck and sleeveless. I am 5'2" and it is a few inches above my knee. There are loads of styles available. They are expensive but the cotton is silky smooth and lasts forever.

Hi, thanks for all the replies. I have looked at them all. Some are a bit white or frilly for me but I am going to order some of them!
