Help me find some trainers, please!

I am fed up with looking fruitlessly for footwear and need help, please. Especially as we are heading into Spring.

Size 8 / 41. Sometimes 7.5, rarely (e.g. some Clark’s) 7. My feet are average to narrow width and shallow with narrow ankles.

I need a pair of white or light coloured leather trainers for every day / casual office wear. I’ve recently bought online and returned 2 pairs that were advertised as women’s 8 and turned out to be mens 8. These fit in length but are stupidly wide.

Converse fit, but they are terrible for my back so I can’t have them. Also I’m not into that look. Stan smiths too wide and roomy with height too. Tried gazelles they are too low on the ankle. Nothing fits!!

I’m mid 50’s but not ready for anything too old lady yet. I’m into gum soles. Thanks people (hopeful emoji)

I just surprised myself by picking up a few pairs in M&S today and they were flying off the shelves.
I managed to get a pair of these, which are mainly sold out online

Air and Grace trainers are really lovely and comfortable too - I live in mine.

Songoftheseas · 22/03/2022 20:29

How much are you comfortable spending? I’m not normally a trainer person but recently bought a pair of Veja ones in white with gold and LOVE them! I’m a size 7 with wide feet and they fit me comfortably.

Thighdentitycrisis · 22/03/2022 20:41

@Juliantheloaf - thank you, way out of my price range. I should have put that in my OP
@Herani thanks will look at M & S they are about my price point

@Songoftheseas

Thanks but If you have wide feet I don’t think they would suit my feet. Also I’m on a budget and don’t want to spend that much!

Just buy some Nike. Can't go wrong. Pay a bit more and they're sooo comfortable. If on a budget, get them from Sports Direct.

www.vionicshoes.co.uk

Vionic are fabulous- they have arch support, are high quality, and fit really well. They run a little small- I'm usually a 7/EU40 and needed to get a 41/size 7 so definitely go by your uk size rather than your usual EU size.

casual trainers here Lots of styles to pick from!
