Bra help please, I'm soooo petite!

I've always had the same figure (I'm mid 50's) it only changed during pregnancy when I was told I looked like a balloon on a stick (charming);-
5 ft 1 inch , about 7.5 stone. God gave me all the fat on my bottom and pretty much none on my boobs and I'm desperate for a decent bra or crop top, for some padding/protection on the nipples if nothing else!!
I would very much appreciate any help and pointers in right direction to buy something for my shape.

What have you used so far? For the last 35 years or so?

shadypines · 22/03/2022 21:46

I've bought either crop tops or bras but I just find these days that all the crop tops are design to fit the cup region but the elastic bit underneath is designed to make you feel like you're in some kind of constricting torture device. Bras just seem to appear lumpy. I just wondered if anyone similar had bought so etching decent they could recommend from somewhere.

Should say anything not etching!

What size are you in bras?

I think M&S sell what they call bralettes, that are like a crop top/bra hybrid.

Measure yourself using boob or bust www.booborbust.com/ and then join the Facebook group for advice. Bras are like jeans, you can be the same size as someone else but couldn’t share clothes.

Thanks everyone, I will check out

For someone really petite, like you, I think you go to bralettes for everyday comfort and to a good lingerie fitter if your intention is to accentuate your assets. A good bra fitter can totally change your appearance. A good (not M&S or supermarket) bra fitter can work miracles. Turn up wearing a well fitting white T shirt you like, and put it on with every bra change so you can judge how it looks under clothing rather than just how comfortable it is. It takes seconds to put a T shirt back on, but it is the most accurate guide to whether you like it and whether it suits you. Nine out of ten you won't think make you look better, so the one that does is the one you buy. A week later, if you are still loving it, and it is comfortable, go back and buy three more. Your underwear shopping is completed for two years. Wash in a lingerie bag.
