Please help me find something to wear to a wedding reception

Hi,
My husband has just informed me I am going to a wedding reception in two weeks. I have nothing to wear, I'm not really sure what sort of thing to wear. I'm short, a size 18/20 and pear shaped! Has anyone got any ideas

How about a plain coloured jumpsuit with a waistband to flatter your shape, one that you'd wear again with trainers but could dress up with flat sandals or heels and jewellery for the wedding reception? Next might have something suitable?

@Gherkingreen that's an idea, I've never owned a jumper suit (not as an adult) I like the idea of that. I will have a look. I would really like something I could get more use out of. Thanks

@Indigoskye I have a black wide leg ankle length one with 3/4 sleeves from Warehouse (before they disappeared); it's really versatile. I've worn it for smarter dinners/events, for work and at weekends with trainers and a denim jacket - love it!
