Finally consummated my relationship with The Fold

After a couple of years of flirtation, I pulled the trigger on a Belleville top with my work bonus. Can't wait for it to arrive. I have a gorgeous blue wool Theory top I got at TK Maxx which is a brilliant smart work perennial and I hope this will do the same thing.

Anyone got any Fold stuff? I have admired the feel of it where I've seen it stocked in John Lewis very much.

It looks good in the photo but it's a lot of money for something polyester. However i have taken against polyester over lockdown and pledged not to buy it as it's uncomfortable to wear

I got this one (on sale!) Surely it's not got a lot of polyester in it though? It's wool/cashmere mix.

I have a few The Fold pieces (largely bought on Ebay) and they are lovely. My favourite is a lipstick pink Belleville top which I wear for very formal Zoom meetings and it makes me feel incredible (and I get loads of compliments about it)

I'm still mourning this gorgeous blouse in the saffron - I'm olive skinned and warm toned and it would have looked sooooo gooood on me. But it sold out pretty much as soon as it went on sale in Jan.

Ooh I have a tweed dress from the Fold that I found in a charity shop and I love it - that Belleville top is gorgeous too! Makes me wish I still had an office job so I had an excuse to buy more of their stuff, sadly it's not really suited to life at home with a toddler 😂

What are you talking about, Sausage? The top linked by the OP is 90% wool, 10% cashmere.

It’s rather lovely actually - though completely not my style. I haven’t felt the need to consider The Fold because most of what I do is done on the sofa at home, and occasionally hanging out in very much not office environments.

I found a couple of The Fold silk shirts in my local charity shop which looked unworn - they are gorgeous quality. Too nice for work, in fact!

What charity shop was that @CointreauVersial?! They must have a very generous donor.

The champagne version of the blouse I posted is still available but I just don't think it pops like the saffron. I want that shirt so damn bad.

The grey one looks much softer (good discount too) but the navy and blue colourways in that top are a different fabric.

My silk blouse from The Fold has a silk cami underneath it - even Brora have synthetic camis under their silk blouses. The fabrics are generally sourced from Italy and are extremely good quality. The merino and cashmere knitwear is great too.

@GregBrawlsInDogJail - I am lucky to live in a vair posh area, and my local charity shop is a goldmine! The stuff I donate back is considerably less desirable.

@GregBrawlsInDogJail The Fold now have a sleeveless version of the yellow Symons blouse you liked .. lovely colour. Did you keep the Belleville top?

I saw there's now a saffron short sleeved Symonds, but I just don't think it looks right short sleeved :(

The Belleville I ordered - the fabric was gorgeous (lovely wool/cashmere) and it fitted really nicely, but i decided I wasn't into the brown colour, so I sent it back and ordered the blue herringbone! It was full price but I had to keep it. It looks and feels gorgeous.

Unfortunately now that I've lost my Foldginity I can't stop thinking about another of the silk shirts...

I just don't like the sleeve frill...

I wish they'd been around when I was younger, thinner, and had more surplus cash . Just had latest brochure from them and so wish I could indulge.

Oh I have a Fold dress I bought for my DM's funeral and it's beautiful but very much 'armour' for work or that kind of occasion. I'm just not smart enough to incorporate more Folderie into my everyday life. But I adore the brand and actually still love the dress, which does surprise me given what it was bought for.
