Flared/bootcut jeans

Are these acceptable with a blazer and heels for a night out? Or is it a bit passé?

I’d normally wear skinny jeans but I’m a bit bigger round the middle than I’d like and I think they are making me look a bit wide!

I would say yes!

Skyblueclouds77 · 20/03/2022 22:25

Sorry I meant yes, I think it would look fine!

Snoopsnoggysnog · 21/03/2022 08:01

Following as I am wondering the same

Beefcurtains79 · 21/03/2022 08:18

Yes, it will look on trend, it’s the skinny jeans that are currently passé.

PandoraP · 21/03/2022 08:19

I think that is fashion now isn’t it? And skinnies are out? I love my bootcuts now. Looking for a nice blazer for summer.

This is good news! I knew bootcut/flared jeans were back in but wasn’t sure about them with heels, I only seem to see people wearing them with chunky trainers.

I wear them with heels and nobody has pointed and laughed yet.

Zazdar · 21/03/2022 10:21

At least, not that I have noticed.

TheGonnagle · 21/03/2022 10:23

I have kept my gorgeous vintage wrangler flares from my early twenties and having lost some weight I can almost fit in them again. They’re my target, I love them!
Wear the flare!

theshadeofgreen · 21/03/2022 11:52

Ooh op I wanted to know this too. The replies are good news Grin

lindyloo57 · 21/03/2022 15:52

I had some oasis bootcut jeans from before, they were my favourite, I dug them to wear again, but I've put on weight so the 8s no longer fit, I I sold them on ebay and managed to buy some size 10 on there, very happy.

evilharpy · 21/03/2022 17:49

Right can anyone please suggest blogs or insta accounts where real life people (as opposed to professionally photographed models who may or may not be wearing shoes) are actually wearing bootcut jeans? I just can't picture myself in them again but am feeling a bit left out and am wondering whether I could make them work and how on earth I would style them Grin I'm still clinging tightly to the mum jeans but perhaps it's time to step out of my denim comfort zone.

Gonnagetgoing · 21/03/2022 17:59

I deliberately won’t buy flared or bootcut jeans as I did them before in 90s.

Ooh I have kept my miss sixty ones! There’s no way I will fit into them Grin
evilharpy · 21/03/2022 18:26

Third photo down with the gold boots and camo jacket and slightly cropped/frayed jeans - I'd definitely wear this outfit.

lindyloo57 · 21/03/2022 19:23

@evilharpy love all the way the models wear the boot cut jeans.

Zazdar · 21/03/2022 19:50

So have I, and I do. Halo

ThatsALotOfPassionfruit · 21/03/2022 20:18

Oh my god @Snoopsnoggysnog I’d forgotten about miss sixty, I had some fab flares. Be lucky to fit my little toe in them now Grin

I got nostalgic and bought some Miss sixty flares on Vinted. Alas flare I can do but the low rise cut did not flatter my c section pouch!

Snoopsnoggysnog · 21/03/2022 20:57

Ahahaha love the miss sixty nostalgia!

Alas I also have a c section pouch and terrible DR from massive twin pregnancy so I think I will hand them down to DD when she’s tall enough to fit into them Grin
